Thank you for using "Friends There Yet?", a freemium application provided by MR SAQLAIN PRODUCTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Android application.
Our app is free to download and use (the "Spark" plan) and offers optional paid upgrades ("Blaze" and "Inferno" plans).
1. ℹ️ Information We Collect
To provide our service, we collect the following information:
A. Information You Provide to Us:
Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed (securely hidden) version of your password.
Profile Information: We collect your username and your chosen avatar ID.
User-Generated Content: This includes:
Messages: The text messages you send to other users.
Community Posts: The content you post to the public Community section.
Discover Actions: Your "like" or "pass" actions on the Discover screen.
Friend Requests: The friend requests you send.
B. Payment and Subscription Information:
We do not collect or store your personal payment information (like credit card numbers). All payments are processed securely through the Google Play Store.
When you subscribe to a paid plan, we are notified by Google Play. We collect and store your subscription status (e.g., "spark", "blaze", "inferno") and link it to your user ID in our database.
C. Information We Collect Automatically:
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data about your device and how you interact with our app (like crash reports) to help us fix bugs and improve the service.
2. 🛠️ How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
To Run the App: To create your account, log you in, and deliver the app's core features.
To Manage Your Subscription: To provide or restrict access to premium features based on your current subscription plan. For example, your plan determines your daily Discover limits, your friend limits, and your ability to post in the Community.
To Enable Social Features:
To show your profile (username and avatar) to other users.
To deliver your chat messages.
To display your community posts.
To process your Discover swipes and create matches.
To display your profile in the "Featured Users" section if you use that "Inferno" plan feature.
To Maintain the Service: To fix bugs, prevent abuse, and provide support.
3. 🤝 How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it in the following limited ways:
With Our Service Provider (Supabase): We use Supabase as our backend. All of your data (profile, messages, subscription status, etc.) is stored on Supabase's servers.
With Our Payment Processor (Google): We share necessary information with the Google Play Store to validate and manage your subscription payments.
With Other Users (Publicly):
Your username and avatar are your public identity and are visible to other users.
Any content you post in the Community section is visible to all other users.
With Other Users (Privately):
Your chat messages are only visible to you and the user you are chatting with.
For Legal Reasons: We may share your information if we believe it is required by law.
4. 🔒 Data Storage and Security
We rely on Supabase's industry-standard security measures to protect your data. We have enabled Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. 💡 Your Data Rights and Choices
Access and Update: You can access and change your chosen avatar at any time in the "Profile" screen.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time from your Profile screen or by contacting us. This will permanently delete your profile, messages, friends, and posts from our servers.
Managing Subscriptions: You can manage, upgrade, or cancel your subscriptions at any time through your account settings in the Google Play Store. Deleting your "Friend There Yet?" account does not automatically cancel your subscription payment with Google.
6. 🧒 Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
7. 🔄 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app.
