What this app does
QR Art Studio lets you generate and customize QR codes and barcodes (text/URL and Wi‑Fi), add an optional logo from your device, and export the result as PNG, SVG, or PDF. The app works offline for all generation and design features. The app is free with advertising (Google AdMob); a one‑time in‑app purchase removes all ads.
No account and no login.
No app‑owned server. All QR generation and design happen on your device.
Optional ads (AdMob) and consent (UMP) are integrated per Google’s policies.
You can remove all ads with a one‑time in‑app purchase (“Remove Ads”).
Any images you pick for logos stay on your device unless you explicitly share or export them.
Information we collect
We designed QR Art Studio to minimize data collection. We do not collect personal data on our own servers. However, some data may be processed by third‑party providers to deliver ads and handle purchases.
A) Data you provide (on device)
Content you type: Text/URL or Wi‑Fi network details used to encode QR codes. This stays on your device and is not uploaded by us.
Optional logo image: If you choose to import a logo from your device gallery, it is used locally in the app. We do not upload or transmit your images.
Exports: When you export PNG/SVG/PDF, files are saved on your device or shared only where you choose (e.g., share sheet).
B) Automatically collected by third parties
Ads (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK):
Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, coarse location (derived), device and app info, ad interaction and performance data.
This is used for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement. In the EEA/UK, consent is requested via Google’s UMP. If consent is not granted, non‑personalized ads may be shown.
Purchases (Google Play Billing):
Purchase tokens and payment details are processed by Google. We only store a local flag (ads_removed) to remember that you purchased “Remove Ads.” We do not receive your full billing details.
C) Analytics and diagnostics
We do not integrate separate analytics SDKs. AdMob may collect limited diagnostics as part of ad delivery and fraud prevention. Refer to Google’s policies below.
How we use information
Provide core app features: generate QR codes/barcodes, styling, exporting (on device).
Advertising: show ads (and measure ad performance) via AdMob, or show non‑personalized ads where required.
Purchases: verify entitlement locally (remove ads permanently on this device).
Compliance: handle consent where applicable (EEA/UK) using Google’s UMP.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Consent: For personalized advertising via AdMob (requested in regions where required).
Performance of contract: To provide the app’s core features and in‑app purchase functionality.
Legitimate interests: Non‑personalized ad serving, fraud prevention, security, basic app operations.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your data with third parties except:
Google (AdMob/Google Mobile Ads SDK): for ad delivery and measurement
Google Play (Billing): for in‑app purchase processing
System share targets you select (when you explicitly share/export files)
Data retention
Local app settings (e.g., colors, templates, ads_removed flag) remain on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Exported files remain on your device or anywhere you shared them until you delete them.
AdMob and Google Play retain data per their policies (see links below).
Children’s privacy
This app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your region).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information via ads or purchases, please contact us and also review Google’s policies below.
Security
We do not run any app‑owned servers; core processing is local on your device.
Ad data and purchase processing occur via secure third‑party SDKs (Google). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use the app at your discretion.
International data transfers
AdMob and Google Play may process data on servers outside your country. See Google’s policies for details on transfers and safeguards.
Your choices and rights
Ads consent (EEA/UK): Open the app > Privacy (top right) > Manage Ads Consent to change your choices.
Reset Advertising ID: On Android, you can reset/limit ad personalization in device settings.
Remove ads: Make the one‑time “Remove Ads” purchase in the app.
Clear app data: Android Settings > Apps > QR Art Studio > Storage > Clear Data (resets local settings/flags).
Since we do not maintain user accounts or collect personal data on our own servers, requests like access/erasure typically relate to third‑party providers (Google). Refer to their links below.
Permissions and how we use them
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: required for loading ads and sharing/printing via system services.
AD_ID: used by Google Mobile Ads SDK for ad relevance, fraud prevention, frequency capping.
Photos/Media (runtime): requested only if you choose to pick a logo image from your gallery. Images remain on‑device unless you export/share.
