Who we are

App name: Which Direction

Package: com.saqdev.whichdirection

Developer:  MR SAQLAIN PRODUCTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”)

Contact: hello@mrsaqlainproductions.site

What this app does

Which Direction helps you find the direction to a chosen point. It shows your position on a Google Map, points an arrow toward a target, can hand off turn-by-turn directions to Google Maps, offers an AR view (arrow over the camera feed), and includes ads with an option to remove ads via a one-time purchase.

Personal data we handle

We designed the app to process most data on your device and not to send it to our own servers.

Location (precise/approximate)

Purpose: show your position, compute bearing/distance, recenter the map, and hand off navigation to Google Maps.

Where processed: on your device. We do not store or transmit your location to our servers.

When shared: if you tap “Navigate,” your destination (and implicitly your location if Google Maps uses it) is sent to Google Maps.

Camera

Purpose: show the AR overlay (arrow) over the live camera view.

We do not capture, record, or store photos/videos. No audio is recorded.

Device sensors (compass/magnetometer, motion)

Purpose: determine your heading to rotate the on‑screen arrow.

Processed on device only.

App preferences and purchases

Data: “is_premium” (ads removed), basic settings.

Storage: on your device via Shared Preferences.

Purchases are processed by Google Play. We store only the minimum needed locally (ads‑free entitlement). We do not receive your full payment information.

Network data (maps/tiles/ads)

Google Maps SDK and Google Maps app may receive your IP address, device info, and coordinates you open for navigation.

AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) receives device and ad‑related data (e.g., Advertising ID, IP, app version) to serve and measure ads.

OpenStreetMap tiles (when using the Offline tab) are requested over the network; the tile servers may log your IP and request details.

We do not create user profiles, sell personal data, or run our own analytics.

Third‑party providers we use

Privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

The Maps app and SDK may process location, IP address, and device info.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Consent: showing personalized ads where required by law; you can manage ad personalization in your device/Google settings.

Legitimate interests: app operations (maps display, sensor processing), non‑personalized ads, fraud prevention, security.

Contract: providing the features you requested (e.g., navigation handoff, in‑app purchase to remove ads).

Compliance with legal obligations.

Data retention

On‑device preferences (e.g., “is_premium”): kept until you clear app data/uninstall.

We do not store your location, camera content, or sensor readings on our servers.

Third‑party SDKs retain data per their policies (see links above).

Your choices and controls

Location permission: grant or revoke in system Settings. App features may be limited without it.

Camera permission: required only for AR mode.

Ads personalization:

Android: Settings > Google > Ads (or “Google Settings”) to reset/limit ad personalization.

Purchases:

Restore your ads‑free purchase via “Restore purchases” in the app (Google Play controlled).

Uninstall: removes app data from your device.

Children’s privacy

This app is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent age of consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Data security

All network calls to third‑party services use HTTPS where supported.

We minimize data collection and store only basic preferences on device.

No user accounts or passwords are required by this app.

International transfers

Third‑party providers (Google, OpenStreetMap servers) may process data on servers located outside your country. See their policies for details and safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app or on our website. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
